The location is mostly industrial, but there's a comfortable little pocket here, with Outback Steakhouse, Cheddar's, and other businesses and restaurants within walking distance. We jogged in the gated parking lot and found a pet-walk area with waste bags and a covered bin, along with several pleasant patio spaces. We stayed on the ground floor, where the air felt fresh. The hotel is new, attractive, very clean, and has a good breakfast, a large gym, a pool, a well-stocked store, and kitchenette rooms with large refrigerators on the Home2 Suites side of this property, which also has Tru by Hilton. It's our favorite budget-friendly choice from recent travels. My complaints are the room spray, the gym's poor ventilation, and open nuts in the breakfast area. My travel air filters helped with the room spray because of my asthma. The gym and laundry smelled strongly of chemicals, so much so that even my healthy son chose not to work out indoors. The clean-air ventilation needs improvement.

The bald manager was the bright spot in an otherwise uncomfortable experience. He greeted me with a smile, helped me kindly and professionally, and reminded the staff that food shouldn't be kept on the front desk. I appreciated the more professional appearance. He wore a management name tag and handled things calmly and respectfully, even when the female employee interrupted to ask him to remove something from his account. He politely tried to speak with her aside, but she walked away without acknowledging him. Earlier, the same employee had looked annoyed at the desk, with her laptop and water tumbler on the counter, and made me feel like I was bothering her. I stepped away and returned a few hours later. My coworkers were at the bar when I came back, and that employee was still at the desk with a White male employee who appeared to be under the influence. My coworkers later said the two were speaking negatively about the Assistant General Manager, although the bald gentleman was clearly identified as management. The female employee had ignored his reminder about food at the desk. It concerns me to see such apathy and poor service, and to see someone who visibly appears to be under the influence working with guests. The manager's courtesy made a real positive difference.

The rooms were new and the hotel itself was very clean and nice. Breakfast was very good too. The one problem was the night staff when we arrived mid-evening. I was unloading luggage and kids under the awning when an employee immediately told me to move because I was blocking a crosswalk and that it was hotel policy. It was dark, I hadn't even noticed a crosswalk, and there was no sign explaining it or the policy. When I confronted him, he got combative and did nothing to help smooth things over. My wife spoke to him later and said he could have handled it differently. He just said okay and brushed her off. Aside from that mishap, we liked the hotel.

We had a good selection of lobby snacks for sale and a quick breakfast comparable to a Hampton Inn. The staff were very helpful, and the roomy lobby has lots of seating for families to gather or socialize. It's a new hotel, with clean, modern rooms and plenty of free parking. Highly recommend.

The price felt closer to $60 a night than anything above $120, which is sadly more than we paid. There was pubic hair in our other guest's room. Power was out for our entire first day, so we couldn't use any common areas or anything in the room. Housekeeping, advertised as every other day, didn't come until day three. Then they emptied just one trash can and didn't make the bed or change any sheets or towels. A joke.
