The Nobleman Fort Worth worked well for my short business trip. I was attending a conference at nearby Red Productions Studios and could walk there each day. My room was quiet and comfortable, and the bed helped me sleep well after long days. I had good dinner and breakfast at Duchess at The Nobleman, though on my second morning I left without breakfast because the host took too long to seat me despite being there. Parking was a drawback. The hotel lists $45-a-day valet as its main option, and once I arrived I couldn’t easily tell if there was non-valet parking nearby.

The staff were lovely, and the bar and restaurant felt upscale but still approachable. We stayed for the Cotton Bowl, and the stadium was only 20 minutes away. Our room in this renovated fire station and attached new wing was modern yet warm, with plenty of drawers and storage, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel is in the up-and-coming Southside neighborhood, with shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. There’s a great BBQ place across the street. We didn’t use the pool or gym, but both looked great. Highly recommend.

I found this hotel last year and have stayed many times since. The original No. 5 Fire Station, built in 1911, is woven beautifully into the hotel. It now holds the check-in area and lobby, with the original fireman’s pole still rising through the space as a nod to its past. The place has real character and history. Rooms are stylish, modern, comfortable, and have the amenities needed for a relaxing visit. The shared spaces and outdoor areas feel welcoming, and the old-world charm sits nicely with contemporary comforts. Duchess, the on-site restaurant, was a highlight, with a chef-driven, seasonal menu based in Texas flavors. It’s more than somewhere to sleep, and makes for a memorable Fort Worth stay.

Everything was clean and the room matched its description. My wife enjoyed a convenient breakfast at Duchess and said it was great. Marcus at the front desk was extremely accommodating and detail-oriented, with excellent communication. While I was at a conference, he even extended checkout by a few hours for my wife and newborn. Parking was my only minor gripe. Valet seems to be the only practical option, so don’t expect to park conveniently any other way. We’ll return when we’re in the area.

The hotel is nice and the staff friendly, but it wasn’t worth it, and I won’t return. No room was ready when I arrived, so I waited in the lobby. I’d driven five hours and wanted to get settled, but my wait reached an hour and a half past the scheduled check-in time. It also happened to every guest checking in before me, so this wasn’t a one-off. The water was lukewarm at best, then cold the next morning. Calling for my car brought another delay because the valet got lost, then scraped my bumper on the hump out front as I watched him pull in. A guy’s Porsche was brought out well before my car even though I’d been waiting longer. Funny how that works. They offered nothing for all this, not even a drink. Find somewhere else to stay.
