Best Western Plus Yuma Foothills Inn & Suites

I lost $120 over a room I never used, and I won’t stay at this location or recommend it. I’d booked through Expedia for the wrong date, then arrived that same night and explained the mistake right away. There was plenty of availability, but the front desk wouldn’t change the booking or refund me. They kept repeating “company policy” without showing empathy, trying to help, or making any meaningful effort to escalate the issue. The agent was dismissive and seemed uninterested in resolving it, even though I never checked into the room. Travel days can be long, and mistakes happen. I expect basic flexibility from a hotel. Other places handle customer service better.

Breakfast was awful: rubbery eggs, ham, and gravy, with no biscuits, potatoes, or much else. The bathroom smelled like sewage, and cigarette smoke drifted in from outside, which spoiled what otherwise could have been a nice room. They also charged elite members for checking in early, even when the room was ready and it was only 45 minutes before 3 p.m.

My reservation was for a day later, so arriving early was completely my mistake. They found me another room at the same rate, and it was very clean and away from the elevator traffic. I highly recommend it.

That big window with the neck was the highlight. We watched the sunset from our room, and the AC worked great. The sofa bed pulled out and left the suite feeling a bit cramped, though. We had a king bed and sofa sleeper for a family birthday weekend, our first time at this location. Breakfast was good, and it’s complimentary, so no complaints there. I only saw someone at the front desk when we checked in, but we didn’t need much help. Gas stations, shopping centers, and other things are close by.
