The kitchen was the best stocked, with a full dishwasher and an oven, and the staff were very pleasant. The rooms did get quite warm on cold winter nights.

Getting checked in and out was quick, with no waiting either time. The room itself, though, has been showing neglect for a while and seemed worse this year: ceiling tiles had stains, a window lock was missing, and the towels were unraveling. We had very little hot water throughout our week. Staff knew about it and, after we raised it three times, kept saying they were working on it. They said the pool area used a separate boiler, so we tried showering there twice, but the hot water was just as limited. At best it was lukewarm, mostly cool, and the boiler still hadn't been fixed when we left.

Good spot if you're a hiker, though you'll have to drive to other towns for food and drinks. The rooms are roomy and clean, but they feel dated.

Our one-bedroom suite had a pull-out couch and everything we needed to prepare meals. There was a large tub and shower combo, plus a private patio where we could enjoy the views and fresh air. The bed wasn't very comfortable, though I am picky about beds. As a Wyndham Timeshare Holder, I also hadn't expected to pay to use the washers and dryers, so bring change. There are lots of nearby attractions, and the property has pools, games, and a restaurant and bar with a limited menu. All in all, we had a great stay. Check it out!

We came to Mittersill Alpine Resort in Franconia Notch for my husband's birthday and would absolutely return. Our second-floor, one-bedroom condo was very clean, quiet, and well placed for getting around. We brought groceries and had the cooking utensils we needed, though the toaster could use an update. The deck looked out over the Cannon slopes, and despite other guests being there, we didn't hear them. Donna at the front desk gave us a warm welcome. The resort is quaint and dated rather than fancy, which suited us. On Friday night we had fun at The Baron’s Bar, where the bartender was bubbly. Since it was after the season, options were limited, but that wasn't a big deal. The pool, two spas, sauna, and laundry were available; we didn't use the pool or spa facilities, but they looked nice. The one thing I wasn't happy with was the water. It looked brownish, so bring bottled water for cooking and brushing your teeth. The shower water also doesn't get very hot. We loved our stay, highly recommend it, and suggest planning ahead.
