Hampton Inn Franklin/Milford

Michael at the front desk was friendly and helpful. My room looked completely new and was roomy enough for a study desk, a couch, and a king bed without feeling cramped. It also had a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The bathroom and shower were spacious too. Everything was nice and clean. Breakfast was okay, as usual, so don’t expect too much.

The manager, Leah, is probably the worst I’ve dealt with. She charged me for smoking and accused my guest of smoking even though I said I don’t smoke. When I entered, there was a strong smell of marijuana and men’s cologne. They also let guests I hadn’t verbally approved have access to my room. I’ve contacted the attorney general’s office, the BBB, and Hilton corporate. I’ve never had a manager be so rude and seem so spiteful in trying to charge me.

The rooms need a proper deep clean. Ours, room 333, had random splatters on the wall and rust in the bathroom, and asking for it to be cleaned didn’t make much difference. The rooms are outdated and dirty. Service was responsive and really nice, though. The breakfast attendant was lovely and helpful, and everyone at the front desk was friendly.

The location works really well when we come to see our daughter at college in Franklin, and the price is good. The rooms have been clean each time, and the staff is nice. It’s not fancy, just a mid-tier Hampton Inn, much like the others we’ve stayed at.
