The location is almost right in the middle of town, with fast food and convenience stores within walking distance and some amazing views just outside. The room had cable, WiFi, a fridge, microwave, and enormous beds, and it was kept very tidy. There’s security on site, and the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and mostly kept to themselves. The spaces felt private and the beds were comfortable as clouds. I think it’s the cheapest rate around here. I’d recommend staying if you’re passing through or haven’t tried it.

We got good value for the price, and the location made it easy to walk along the main strip and go out for brunch each day. The staff were friendly and gave us helpful tips about hikes and things to do nearby. The dated rooms didn’t bother me, and I actually liked the vintage bathroom tile. But the floors were so dirty we avoided walking barefoot and didn’t set our luggage down. The bathroom window was broken and wouldn’t close all the way, which might feel like a security issue to some. If you’re after an inexpensive, no-frills place, it’s a good spot.

I stayed in Room 14 after checking in early on December 10, 2025. The room was clean, though very dated and worn. Heat took an hour or two to warm it up, and hot water was just as slow. The windows don’t open, and the bathroom felt like a second fridge. I wouldn’t sit in the tub or touch the tiles. After I’d warmed up and cleaned up, I killed a cockroach in the bathroom. I’d checked for bedbugs and found none. I know cockroaches live under baseboards and similar places, and no, people don’t bring them from home. A construction worker who’d been in the room next door for a while said he hadn’t seen bugs, which was at least something. I left the bathroom light on to keep any family members of that roach away. I’d asked about a hiker rate, but it wasn’t known or offered. The gap beneath the door was noticeable too. I spoke to the manager, who said he’d been on the job for two days, and showed him the cockroach while asking for my $80 back because I didn’t want to stay. He offered $30 and wouldn’t budge. I’d been there two hours and taken a ten-minute shower, so it felt like I was paying $50 for that. Since I was on a budget, I asked to move rooms. He said the cleaner would inspect mine and he’d move me only if she saw bugs, otherwise I could take the $30 or stay. Of course she didn’t find any. The room should have been treated for bugs, and I should have received more than $30 of my $80 back. It would’ve taken the cleaner 15 minutes at most, and the owner would still have made a profit. I suggested the owners refund the remaining $50 to my VISA as a gesture of good faith. I heard the owners live in Florida, and the manager clearly didn’t know customer service. I felt trapped in a cockroach motel. I’d only stay again if an owner responded. As of February 3, 2026, there’d been no reply from the owner or management, so I’d spend the money and go somewhere else.

The room smelled so bad I still couldn’t get the odor out of my clothes. The manager said they were dealing with drug problems and had removed guests at gunpoint. When I asked for a refund, they refused. Absolutely gross.

The area didn’t feel very safe, and the room smelled. In the morning I saw two cockroaches, one in the bathtub and another on the bedroom wall. The ice machine had no ice, though I’m not sure whether it was broken or someone had used it all before I tried it. You get what you pay for.
