Holiday Inn Express & Suites Franklin - Berry Farms by IHG

We found a bedbug in our bed in room 210. We asked to move, but were told there were no other rooms. The staff said the bug might have come from the sheets after they were washed and dried, which makes me wonder if other sheets could have them too. We got a refund, though they said it would take a couple of days. We went next door to the Marriott and couldn't believe how much more it provided.

The staff were friendly and breakfast was decent. The hotel is fairly nice, and its rates are a little lower than the two places nearby. It does cost quite a bit more than the group of hotels a few miles closer to town, just off Highway 96. I’ll likely stay here again when I visit friends in the Franklin area.

After 16 hours on the road, we just needed a clean place for the night for us and our crying three-year-old. We’d made a reservation, got to the room, and found a bedbug when we pulled back the covers. The front desk sent someone up with sheets for us to take, and when we asked for another room, we were told there wasn’t one. They said the bug probably came from the dryer, as if that helped. We packed up and left right away. We weren't asking for anything special, just a clean place to sleep. The lack of empathy and professionalism was deeply disappointing. Night shift, do better. Please take your business somewhere else.

They even have covered parking for vehicles, which was a nice surprise. The property is beautiful and exceptionally clean, and every staff member was excellent. Our room was neat, and the mattress felt just like the one we have at home. Breakfast was complimentary and very good. I highly recommend staying here.
