Hyatt Place Nashville/Franklin/Cool Springs

Our apartment complex lost power for more than four days during the January 2026 Middle TN Ice Storm, and this hotel was a warm, welcoming island in the cold chaos. A friend found a room on HotelsTonight on the first day and asked the front desk to reserve it for us. Each day, when we learned the power was still out, the hotel extended our stay at a very reasonable rate. They said there'd be no cancellation fee if we got power back, though we never got to find out. We had a mini-suite with a separate sitting area and a comfortable bed. The internet was fine, if a little slow, and the large TV had a good channel selection, which suited us since we're TV people. Dogs are allowed. The Cool Springs Mall area location is excellent, with lots of shops and restaurants, and we could get our steps in by walking around inside the mall. Thank you!

Our room was quiet, which we appreciated, but that was the only real bright spot. The hotel feels outdated, and its narrow layout made everything feel cramped. We paid for a double queen room, yet the beds seemed closer to full size, making comfortable sleep difficult. Breakfast was basic, with little variety or flavor, and wasn't appetizing. For what it offers, this place feels like a 2-star hotel and is significantly overpriced.

The rooms are decent, and the location is good. But if you're counting on a worthwhile included breakfast, look elsewhere. There were very few choices: cereal, eggs, bagels, and fruit. No pancakes, sausage, bacon, or biscuits.

The service was terrible, and the hotel felt dirty. The elevators also seemed unsafe. My husband is a globalist, and because I was so disappointed, we needed to leave a day early. I told the front desk woman we were checking out early; she said no problem and thanked us for being globalists, but never actually checked us out. When we asked why we'd been charged, she lied and said I hadn't told her. This is the worst Hyatt we've stayed at. The location and dated condition might be on us for not researching, but dishonest staff are unacceptable. If you want a Hyatt in Franklin, choose Hyatt House rather than Hyatt Place.
