We’ve traveled for 20 years for vacations and business and never had this happen. We had belongings worth over $300 taken from our room by housekeeping on the one day we removed the do not disturb tag. We were away from early morning at my son’s basketball tournament until that night. The cleaning crew’s system said they hadn’t cleaned the room, and they claimed we’d verbally refused service. But when we reported the missing items, the manager came to the room, saw the towels had been replaced, and confirmed it had been cleaned. After being confronted, the worker changed the story and said they had only come in to replace towels. Beyond Site manager apologized but said she wasn’t willing to do anything because the team member denied it. After multiple calls and messages, we still haven’t heard back from the district manager or gotten our belongings returned. We plan to file a police report and escalate this. Highly disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, anytime, ever. At first, everything seemed fine: parking and check-in were easy, and the facilities were clean.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and breakfast had lots of variety and was great. I’d stay again. The two things that bothered me were minor, and the good service and breakfast more than made up for them. I was also trying to get out of a midnight-shift sleep cycle at the time. The mattress felt a little firm, though I’m usually not fussy about that. I sometimes need background noise to sleep, and the room’s fan, heater, or AC might have worked for that, but I couldn’t figure out how to get it off Auto and the 15-minute intervals. It kept switching between fan noise and total silence every 15 minutes.

Tru got the basics right for travelers at a decent price. The lobby was inviting, the staff welcoming, and the room layout worked well, with plenty of space. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean, and I liked the hard-surface floor. Too many hotels have carpet with suspicious stains and a sticky feel. We all slept too late to try breakfast, which probably says something about those comfortable beds. The location worked great for everything we wanted to do in northern Cincy. Thanks, Tru!

The room was very clean, but there’s no microwave in it. Even one-star motels have microwaves. You can’t warm up coffee or leftovers in the room, so you have to go down to the lobby. There is a small fridge. I waited at least 20 minutes to check in. There was just one person handling it, doing her best with a large party, but they really need two people from 4 to 6 or 7. The hotel is right beside I-75, and the traffic noise is really annoying. Earplugs recommended. Breakfast was better than most, and the staff were friendly enough despite being short-staffed and obviously stressed.
