Ramada Franklin Cool Springs

It was quiet, which matters to me, and the beds were comfortable. My room was spacious too. The Franklin Clarion is relatively new and a good deal for the rate. Breakfast is free and starts at 6 AM. It was sparse, but adequate. There’s a fitness room on the first floor, though coffee in the lobby would be a nice improvement. A solid place to rest while traveling.

The only thing keeping this from five stars was the bathroom exhaust fan not working. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, the place was clean overall, and it smelled nice throughout. I’ve stayed at plenty of places with strange odors or a hint of mildew, so that was a nice change.

I travel for work all year and have never had a hotel hold onto my mail like this. The package had my name on it, I showed my ID, and I even had the receipt, but the man at the front desk told me to sit down and refused to give it to me. He said he’d send it back if my name wasn’t on the reservation, even though he’d accepted it when it arrived knowing my name wasn’t listed. I’d already been there three days. I called the reservation desk while standing there and had them add my name. The employee acted like he hadn’t received the email or fax, so we had to go through the process again. Somehow, even with the package, ID, and receipt right there, he still wouldn’t hand it over. Another room booked under our crew’s name was locked from the inside too. He walked away saying he could open it. The service here is unbelievable. I guess this is what you can expect at Clarion Pointe.

I booked a room for July 21-23, but had to leave immediately after bugs were crawling all around the desk area. It was disgusting. They came in with a can of red roach and ant spray and sprayed while my dog was there, as if that were normal. The carpet was dirty, and so were the elevator and its floors. I felt dirty and sick, then had to leave and pay another fee. The pictures are a lie. Management should be ashamed.
