Ms Mary, who runs breakfast, was really lovely and made the stay a little better. The location was also handy, about halfway between the two places we had weekend events. But that was the only upside. The carpet was badly stained, and the beds didn't have full mattress protectors. After a couple of days I asked housekeeping for fresh towels and was scoffed at and told there were none because nobody had done the laundry. Another guest got the same response. I tried asking again the next day and was scoffed at again. We hoped to save money with the holidays coming, but next time we'll pay more to stay somewhere else.

Adelayda at the front desk was the best help I've ever had at a hotel. Check-in was fast, and the staff were professional and welcoming in a way that felt like real local hospitality. My room was quiet, clean, and cool. The firm bed was comfortable, the blackout curtains did their job after long days on the road, and there was fast Wi-Fi, plenty of charging ports, and strong water pressure. Breakfast had waffles, eggs, and coffee that tasted like actual coffee. There was plenty of parking, too. For my business trip through Frederick, Comfort Inn Red Horse was an easy, dependable base. Five stars from me.

They charged me 250, accusing me of smoking even though I don't smoke. The pictures they gave me were of some random room. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but it feels like a scam and should be investigated.

The parking lot was extremely hard to get in and out of, and the place was dirty and smelled bad. They never seemed to clean it, and trash was left in the hallways because that was the only way it would get picked up. My rate also changed from week to week, and they couldn't explain why. It felt dishonest. Communication was very difficult, and at times I could barely understand the staff. Go somewhere else.
