Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fredericksburg, VA

I’ve been living here for the past few months while between homes, and the staff have come to feel like family. The front desk is both kind and incredibly efficient. The place is clean, management is good, and there’s a hot breakfast. At this price, I don’t think you’ll find a better hotel. I travel often and look for a CI&S wherever I go. So far, this one’s been the best. The whole team deserves a Michelin.

Hazel, who looked after breakfast, made me laugh and treated us like family. She even found time to chat while she was busy. I travel a lot, and Country Inn and Suites by Radisson really impressed me. The place was clean and attentive to customer needs, the breakfast was the best, and Hazel was the best employee I met. Thanks to Country Inn and Suites for keeping such good staff and a clean establishment.

The bed was comfortable and the showers were good, but the room carpet made us avoid walking barefoot. There were stains on the carpets and door frames, and holes in the floor where something like a doorstop had been. The fitness center had an empty towel rack and water dispenser. Ceiling tiles had been removed because pipes or sprinklers were dripping. See photos.

I booked the only room with a hot tub for New Year’s Eve, and ended up with no hot water for a shower in the morning. The microwave was dirty too. The toilet flooded, and the front desk agent was in the back on her phone, so we had to find our own towels to clean up. There were roaches all over the counter by the coffee pot. As an employee of Choice who has stayed at its hotels for a long time, I have standards. This was probably one of the worst Choice hotels in Fredericksburg I’ve been to. One of the worst days ever. The place needs a whole new innovation.
