We had to switch rooms after the shower broke in the first one, and the second room wasn't any better. There was a red mark on the ceiling, dust all over the headboard, and spiderwebs above the bed. The ice machines were empty, and the parking lot had broken-down cars, including one with a boot on its front tire. A terrible stay. I'd give negative stars if I could. It really seemed like the owners don't care about guests or take pride in the property.

The staff were really rude and showed no accommodation when I had seizures. During a four-day seizure, they wanted me to get out of bed so they could change it. When we went to SSA, I was having a very bad seizure and they locked us out of our room. My husband had to pay $100 before they would let us back in.

Ms. Loretta made check-in a pleasure. She was caring and great with guests. The room was clean and nice, with a fridge and microwave, and the atmosphere was very quiet. It's also an easy walk to Wendy's, Waffle House, and a gas station. Good price, too.

For a small mom-and-pop place, this is a really good deal. The newly renovated rooms feel as nice as ones that cost $300 or more a night, but the price here is very fair. Management stays involved in keeping the property clean and quiet day to day. If you're looking to stay on 17, it's hard to do better.

Mike was really accommodating at night check-in. I needed a reasonably priced place for one night while passing through, and this quaint hotel worked out great. The area felt safe, with lots of good restaurants nearby. I'm picky, so I appreciated being able to see the room first. It was clean and tidy, with clean sheets and bedspreads, a fridge, microwave, and fresh paint. I'd definitely recommend it for an overnight stop or a business trip.
