Days Inn Freer

I rented a room advertised with a kitchen and paid an extra $20 a night, then found no pots, pans, silverware, utensils, paper towels, dish soap, or dishcloths. There wasn't even a standard coffee pot. The two people I spoke with argued that hotels don't provide kitchen supplies. I told the manager that this was the only hotel with kitchenettes I'd seen that didn't include things to cook with. He kept arguing, which seemed to fit with how empty the hotel was. The fridge barely worked and left the food pretty much warm. I didn't bother raising it with the person at the desk because I figured it would waste my time. When I tried to do laundry, the dryer wouldn't dry. The same people up front argued repeatedly that it couldn't be broken and said I had to put money in it. I've never felt so insulted. They called my room to say it was working and I needed to pay the $1 cycle fee. I went back after two cycles and the clothes were still wet. The owner's wife said she couldn't help or put my clothes in their commercial dryer. She also told me I "suck!" I replied that it was an excellent business approach. Then the male owner yelled, threatened to call the police and kick us out, and said he'd charge the room $300, apparently because I complained. No police came and no fee appeared on the bill. There were large cockroaches at the main entrance all week, plus large grasshoppers and other bugs in the room. I plan to recommend that my corporation remove this place from its approved list, and I won't return. I bet this "hotel" gets shut down soon.
