The area was quiet at night and seemed safe, and I never worried about my truck. The front desk people were very nice. The room was clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable, and it was incredibly close to the temporary job I had.

The AC wasn’t working, so I had to fiddle with the unit, reset the GFI, and eventually got it going. The TV was unplugged, and when I figured that out the remote still didn’t work because its batteries were dead. I used my own batteries and took them with me when I left. The key card wouldn’t open the back door. I walked back to the front desk, was told it would open my room door, but it didn’t, so I had to go back again to get the key reprogrammed. I won’t be coming back.

I arrived exhausted after a long drive at 10 p.m. and spent an hour and a half trying to sort this out. I had booked through Booking and called the hotel several times before arrival to confirm. They told me everything was set, but then said they had no reservation under my name. When Booking contacted them, the staff said they couldn’t open the booking app because they didn’t know its password. They told me to wait 7-14 days for a refund and shut the door in my face. A very frustrating experience with extremely unprofessional staff.

The place looked nice from outside, but inside it was dirty and outdated. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, so we asked to switch. The manager yelled at my mom and me in front of my five-year-old, and at first refused to give us another room because my son had sat on the bed. He also claimed we had chosen that room, even though he was the one assigning rooms. We eventually got a different one, but left for somewhere else anyway. We’d driven five hours from out of town. The manager wouldn’t give us a receipt showing we checked out that same day. We didn’t ask for a refund because we expected him to make a fuss. He had also tried to get extra cash from my mom by falsely saying she booked a room with one bed instead of two, and that an extra bed would cost more. Terrible service.
