Valley Inn and Suites

The room was spacious, nicely appointed, and surprisingly quiet even though it faced a state highway. The location was convenient, and if you like walking, both hotels and downtown French Lick are within reach. Before check-in, they sent a lot of messages, almost to the point of overdoing it, though more information is better than none. I'd stay again if I were in the area.

The only thing I'd change is adding a rug just inside the door. The rooms have wood floors, and snow and salt got tracked in and made things messy. Still, I'd definitely recommend this motel and will stay again when I'm in French Lick. We had a great overnight at The Valley Inn on January 31st for the David Lee Murphy concert. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the service was awesome. I liked that they use keypad codes given at check-in instead of room keys or cards. 5 stars.

The room was comfortable, and I liked that the sheets smelled like fabric softener. The kitchen had nearly everything we needed, though there was no toaster, baking sheet, or dish rag, so we made do. The heaters were very loud, and the floors needed a good cleaning. Check-in and checkout were so easy. It was a great place to spend a few days, within walking distance of attractions and convenience stores. Thanks for a nice stay.

Check-in was about as easy as it gets, and we didn't feel unsafe. The place wasn't awful, but it could've been much better. The floors and shower were really dirty. The bed was comfortable, but it had a large stain that looked like blood, and there was no comforter. For the price, it wasn't really worth it, though it was an okay alternative to the resort.
