Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fresno Airport by IHG

Fresno doesn’t have many hotel choices that stand out, but I’ll choose this one when I return. It’s a new, clean, well-run place, with a very nice, well-kept gym. The room had nice new furniture, and everything looked spotless.

Saturday, May 16, 2026. We stayed one night in room 211. We got to grab our favorite cinnamon rolls before heading to the airport, thanks to the excellent early morning shuttle. Check-in was flawless, and the representative was great.

The place itself was new, very clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast staff were great. But I won’t stay here again because of how management handled our Expedia reservation. My sister had booked months earlier for the event we were visiting town for. The hotel was full when we arrived, with people waiting in the lobby, and we were told Expedia had canceled our reservation. I called Expedia, which confirmed it was still valid and spoke with management. Expedia then refunded us for a “cancellation” we had never made. Manager Suki said the morning staff had taken the call and there was nothing he could do. I practically had to beg for a room at a discounted rate, which still cost more than our original booking. The next morning, I spoke to the clerk who supposedly took the Expedia call, but he looked completely blank and didn’t remember anything. It felt like the hotel didn’t honor the reservation because it was a busy night and wanted more money, though that’s my suspicion. Expedia didn’t back us up either. They could have had a loyal customer for my frequent trips to Fresno, but not anymore.

We’ll be back. We come to Fresno for different reasons and like staying here because it’s new, the rooms are very clean, and the complimentary breakfast is quite good compared with other hotels. The price is budget-friendly, which is a big plus, and there are lots of amenities and places around town nearby. The parking layout also seems to keep cars safer, though I have no stats to prove that.
