Homewood Suites by Hilton Fresno

The bedding was top notch, with lofty pillows, and I actually got midweek housekeeping here, unlike at the sister chain Home2 Suites. The room was fresh, the bathroom sparkling clean, and the common areas and lobby were neat and well kept. Service was acceptable, and all the staff were kind and willing to help. The location is easy to reach from the main roads, with better dining close by. We'll be back, highly recommended. One concern: we arrived after 10 pm and no one was at the desk. It made me wonder if just about anyone could walk into the lobby. Also, the ceiling fans in the dining room make the ceiling lights flash, which bothers me. If you're sensitive to that, avoid the dining room or ask for the fans to be turned off. I appreciated the free breakfast, which opens at 6 am. I don't eat pork, so there were limited protein options. They should consider guests who don't eat pork, including Muslims, Jews, Levitical Diet Christians, and others.

I stayed at the Hilton for several days on a business trip and left my white Honda sedan in the hotel's parking lot. When I started it on the morning I was leaving, I heard an unusual noise. I switched off the engine, looked underneath, and found that the catalytic converter had been cut out and stolen. I reported it immediately at the front desk. After the hotel representative contacted the manager, I received surveillance video by email. It shows a Mercedes-Benz sedan coming into the Hilton lot, two people getting out, removing my catalytic converter, and leaving. The theft happened on Hilton property, in the parking lot and within view of the cameras. I asked about compensation for the damage and was told Hilton wasn't responsible for this kind of incident. I also asked what would happen if a guest's whole car were stolen from the lot, and was told the hotel wouldn't be responsible for that either. I received no compensation or assistance. Because of the substantial damage, I had to sell my car to a dealer at a substantial financial loss. I filed an official report with the Fresno Police Department. No one from the Hilton contacted me afterward or offered help or compensation. I have photos and video documenting the theft and damage. After this, I no longer feel safe staying at Hilton hotels, since guests' property seems to be left without responsibility or protection. I hope Hilton management reviews what happened and contacts me to address it.

For work, I stay here every month and it's become my go-to. The rooms are roomy and cozy, and I like having laundry, breakfast, and a fitness room. I prefer Hilton over other brands.

The hotel is modern and clean, close to the highway, with plenty of dinner options within a mile. I was surprised by the $10 daily parking charge. As a Diamond member, I find hotel service and rooms can vary, but Brianna gave exceptional service from check-in through check-up. That's the kind of care that brings me back to places like this. Thanks for accommodating me. I also had an issue during the stay, and Esther resolved it within minutes, without hesitation. Thank you.
