Doubletree Hilton Front Royal Blue Ridge Shadows

The location was excellent, tucked by the mountains and a golf course in a quiet, secluded spot. It was still close to Front Royal, shopping, restaurants, 522, and the interstate. I used Hilton points for the room and am a Diamond member. Online check-in and the mobile key both worked well. Alex at the front desk was very pleasant, and all the employees were friendly. I had a great stay and would come back. Thank you.

I stayed with three coworkers. One was there six days, and the rest of us stayed five. The hotel looks nice, updated, and clean, and it’s very conveniently located for the plant I travel from home to visit. But we all had issues that left us with the same impression: it wasn’t properly cleaned. One person found someone else’s body odor in the sheets, as if they hadn’t been changed. Another found pills and glasses on the floor when he first arrived and left them there until checkout. I stopped letting housekeeping enter my room because I didn’t see anything done beyond making the bed. The “We were here” messages piled up and weren’t picked up, even when staff came by to check on the room. Really disappointing.

Kelly was so kind and accommodating when I came to town to visit family for Thanksgiving. She and the staff got a room ready early for me, and as a senior citizen I found it just lovely. My dear family treated me to the room, and I’m forever grateful to them and the staff at your beautiful hotel.

The view from our room was lovely, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The hotel is clean and beautifully maintained, and the rooms were very nice overall. Still, for the price, a few things should be fixed. We found a previous guest’s hairbrush in a corner, and the toilet paper holder was broken, so the roll had to sit on the back of the toilet. The flooring was coming up where the tile meets the carpet, and my children and I stepped on something sharp. We had to put a towel down to protect our feet. These problems didn’t ruin the stay, but they’re worth mentioning.
