Motel 6 Front Royal, VA

I’m a retired LEO from Front Royal, and I have to come back to the area often even though I’ve moved away. This is the ONLY motel I’d ever stay at here. It’s been cleaned up and turned around, and it’s run right. The management is fabulous, the rooms are spotless, and there’s absolutely no crap allowed. Every employee is AMAZING, thoughtful, and kind. Five stars plus! 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The location was the best part of my stay. The room wasn’t renovated despite what the website says, there was no hot water, and the ceiling fan didn’t work. There were sketchy people hanging around behind the motel. A pitbull was tied to the railing several times between the back door and the dog relief area. One night I went around the hotel instead of walking past the dog, and saw two guys leaning against the motel smoking pot. The only room amenity was a bar of soap, and housekeeping didn’t come until the third day. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

For the price, this is a reasonably decent hotel. My room was clean and had a fridge and microwave, and the desk staff were very helpful. There’s plenty of parking. The lower-floor laundry room takes quarters and also has ice, while vending machines are in the main lobby. They sometimes offer free coffee, too.

The staff were the friendliest I’ve encountered at places I’ve stayed, and you only have to ask if you need something. My room was extremely clean, comfortable, and quiet. The shower had nice hot water, which is rare. There’s a great pet area with plenty of grass for them to play. The prices are very reasonable, and I’d stay here over some of the more expensive places I’ve tried in Front Royal. I give them a 10+.
