Travelier Motel

The owners are kind, understanding, and accommodating people. The rooms are more than acceptable. If you’re in town and need a rest stop, I highly recommend it.

The back area where we stayed was quiet, with little traffic, and the room was very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, and it was easy to get to. The big towels had huge holes in them, though. For $55, I think we should’ve had towels without stains or holes. I was just passing through, but I’d come back if I needed to, and bring my own set of towels.

The door only had a handle lock, with no deadbolt or chain, so I didn’t feel safe. The mattress was in bad shape, uncomfortable, and you could feel the springs. Under the mattress pad it was stained with urine. The carpet was so dirty you couldn’t make out the pattern except under the bed. There was a roach in the bathroom, and the pillows smelled like a man’s BO. The room was dirty. If you’re really broke and need somewhere to stay, it’s fine, but if you have the money and are particular, keep looking.

The rate was reasonable, but my techs said they wouldn’t stay there again. I booked two rooms for them for three nights while they were working in Fulton, and I haven’t heard the end of it. They said the carpet was too dirty to walk on without shoes, they didn’t want to lie on the beds, and they saw bugs in their rooms. I haven’t seen the rooms myself, but they felt it had been a long time since they were cleaned.
