They only cleaned my room and brought fresh towels once during the nine days I stayed. I had to fix the toilet myself several times on the first day, and then they moved me to a worse room. It had cockroaches, a rusty microwave I couldn't use, and a tub that backed up when the shower ran. The owners were extremely rude, disrespectful, and uncaring. When I repeatedly asked for paperwork showing my departure date during my extended stay, they never gave it to me. I wouldn't recommend the area either. There were prostitutes, drug deals, and all kinds of shady activity. I called the police after the owners acted threatening and scary rude. They overcharge for poor quality and hospitality. I've traveled plenty, and this is by far the worst place I've stayed. If negative stars were possible, I'd give them.

The AC unit sits low under the window and is small, so expect to run it on high for about five hours before the room reaches a comfortable temperature. The place is super clean, with a good kitchenette, not a full kitchen, a nice TV, and four free WiFi networks. It's a decent budget spot in a good location if you're okay with a two-star setup. I don't want to like it, but I do.

I got there at 4 p.m. on arrival day and was told they had no non-smoking rooms left, even though I'd reserved one three weeks earlier and had confirmation. When I asked how that could happen, the man just shook his head without apologizing. He handed me a key and said the room wasn't that bad, but it smelled like an ashtray. I had to scramble to find another place during UF graduation weekend, when the hotels were all booked. Even when I called before, the staff didn't seem friendly or helpful. I think they misled me and that all the rooms are smoking, assuming I'd just stay anyway. Their service was horrible and dishonest. Beware.

We've been staying here for about a month while my husband and I relocate for work. When our AC broke, we told the manager, but it took him two days to work on it. We spent two nights in a 91-degree room before he moved us. He was very apologetic, though I understand things happen. It could've been handled sooner. Otherwise, the place is clean and spacious.
