The two men at the desk when we arrived were helpful and friendly, and the overnight woman was especially nice. Most of the other staff weren't so pleasant. We were disappointed and won't be back. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, with no exhaust fan, and I found an earring in our bed. Breakfast had very little choice and wasn't very good, and they wouldn't let us take it to the room. For fresh towels or washcloths, you have to bring the dirty ones to the lobby and exchange them. The cleaning staff wouldn't bring an extra one, even when you had the used towels with you.

The clean linens were the only clean thing in the room. The mini fridge didn't work, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly and leaked onto the floor when it tried. There were piles of dog poop in the grassy area at the bottom of the stairs. My daughter had arranged a surprise trip for me and my son, and this was a horrible place to stay. The room keys stopped working, and the desk associate treated us like we were a nuisance. They also had signs saying breakfast couldn't be taken back to the room. Wyndham should be ashamed of this place.

We weren't expecting anything fancy, and for an older hotel it was pretty good. Breakfast was better than I expected, with hot grits, sausage, and potatoes. The kitchen lady went above and beyond, and the staff were accommodating. Ruth greeted us and remembered us from our last trip. The rooms could use a little work, though.

We went to a Gators game and booked one night. The online photos must have been AI because the place was nothing like advertised. Our room wasn't ready at 4 p.m., even though check-in was at 3. We waited about 20 minutes in the lobby while the smoke alarm chirped every few minutes. Once they said the room was clean, we went upstairs, stepping over trash, cigarette butts, and dental picks. The room smelled stale and of cigarette smoke, and a staff member had left a cell phone behind. There were old brackets and holes in the walls, the bedside lamps didn't work, and the mirror light had a lampshade that looked like it had been picked out of the trash. Only one of the three vanity bulbs worked. The AC cover was held on with drywall screws, and the flooring by the entrance was damaged and buckled. We were still going to try to make it work for one night, so we took our things, including the phone to return, and went down to the lobby for more smoke alarm beeps. I asked politely if someone could clean the room again and try to get rid of the smoke smell while we were out. The staff member said she'd take care of it and thanked us for returning the phone. After the game and dinner, we got back after 1 a.m. and at least six small roaches scattered as soon as we opened the door. My wife and I killed them. The room still smelled the same, and stepping on the buckled floor brought out more roaches. We found another four or five on the walls, ceiling, and behind the front curtain. There was also a dark smear that looked like feces or blood on the inside of the front door and the wall next to it. We didn't want to find out what might be under the bed. We quickly showered, changed, and left to stay somewhere else, with a roach crawling on the ceiling above us while we showered. I went back to the chirping lobby and told the staff we couldn't stay in that room. They had no other rooms, and we wouldn't have felt comfortable trying one anyway. The front desk man said he'd process a refund. We left and slept in our car at the nearest rest stop.
