Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Gainesville I-75

This is my favorite Gainesville hotel so far. It’s quiet, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and it’s close to I-75 without the traffic noise and to Butler Plaza. Kate at the front desk was competent, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had hot items, oatmeal with cinnamon, packaged cereals, coffee, muffins, bread, and waffles. There were no junk fees, unlike at many hotels these days. I’d have stayed longer if not for the scent dispenser in the gym. I work out every morning, and the fragrance made my lungs scratchy, left me coughing and tasting it, and lingered in my head space. I don’t know what VOCs are in the cartridge, artificial or otherwise, but I don’t want to breathe in chemicals while doing cardio. I had to cut my workout short. I’d come back if they removed or fixed it.

Breakfast was good, and Monsie made it especially enjoyable. She was welcoming, attentive, quick to notice what people needed, and handled everything kindly and professionally. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. At check-in, the reception team greeted us warmly, offered a choice of floor and water, and sincerely thanked me for my Marriott loyalty. That extra acknowledgment set a nice tone for our stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Gainesville, right off I-75. Thanks to the whole team. We’d happily return and recommend this location.

The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the coffee and buffet breakfast were a nice bonus. We felt safe walking through the well-lit parking area, and the whole property was well maintained. The staff were phenomenal, greeting us with smiles and checking whether we needed anything. We’d stayed at many hotels and had almost given up on finding one that was quiet, clean, and friendly. Fairfield exceeded our expectations, and we’d absolutely come back.

It’s clean, affordable, and in a convenient spot, with a good range of food at breakfast. Magaly, Cloe, and Amanda, I believe those were their names, were wonderful in the breakfast area, always smiling and ready to help. I’ll come back.
