Hampton Inn Gainesville

Seven at the front desk turned an otherwise average stay into a five-star experience. Seven was professional and checked in with us along the way. When we had a problem with the sleeper sofa, Seven quickly got us a rollaway bed. The hotel itself is pretty ordinary, with aging rooms, scuffed furniture, and a sunken couch that has seen better days, but that outstanding service made me overlook a few cracks.

My car trouble meant I had to cancel my reservation, and I wasn't offered the option to move it to a later date once the car was fixed. I left a message on the manager's voicemail and was charged the full amount, with no call back. I later left Xavier a message after he left a note here. He asked me to call, so I did and left another message, but still heard nothing. The final update is that nobody ever called me back. I'm even more dissatisfied, and my review stands. There are plenty of other places to stay. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. If I could give zero stars, I would. Shame on you Hampton Inn Gainesville. 👎

The room was clean and comfortable, with a big TV, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I spend about nine months a year in hotels and have been a Hilton LIFETIME Diamond Member. This was the best free hotel breakfast I've had in almost ten years. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and Shands was just five minutes away. On arrival, there was some confusion about the room we'd reserved. We also asked twice about reward points and neither clerk could explain them or add ours.
