Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville

They were renovating, and checkout was horrible. My ride was running a little late, and they basically told me I needed to go to the lobby. I’m disabled and couldn’t carry all my things and my doggie there. It felt so cold and left a terrible impression. I’ll never stay at Hilton again.

The shower was bad on my first night in Gainesville for an event at the Ag center. Its cheap shower head sprayed like an old watering can, though the bed was great. Around 10 the next day, the front desk texted to ask how things were, so I mentioned the shower. When I got back that evening, they’d replaced the head with one that had a decent spray. I was a happy camper. Thanks for listening and helping make the stay great.

The staff were top-tier, kind and welcoming, but the condition of the hotel was awful. It was filthy, run down, and things were broken everywhere I looked. The 3rd Floor elevator button didn’t work, so each time I needed to get to my room I had to wait and call both elevators. The refrigerator and AC unit made a lot of noise whenever they periodically kicked on. I know renovations take time, but guests staying during the work still need a deep clean. I understand the hotel is being renovated, but this was the filthiest Hilton I’ve stayed in, and felt like a biohazard. I could never recommend it based on this stay.

The renovation was done really well. Cecilia went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our work group was settled and happy. She deserves a raise. A++.
