Homewood Suites by Hilton Gaithersburg/ Washington, DC North

I really liked the quiet room, and the TV worked perfectly. The shower got hot and had good water pressure. Breakfast was especially well done, with Chia Pudding, a vat of Oatmeal, overnight Oats, and the usual breakfast choices, including Corned Beef Hash & French Toast. This was a great Homewood Suites.

The rooms were newly renovated and super clean, and the staff were very friendly. There’s a great gym facility, Directv in the rooms, and a nice breakfast lounge with 5pm happy hour snacks. One of the best Homewood suites I’ve stayed in, and one of the best suite style hotels in this area.

We won’t do business with this venue after a really unprofessional exchange with the sales manager. Our court reporting firm needed to rent a conference room for a deposition. When we asked about the cancellation policy, she wanted to know why. We explained we needed to tell our client about possible charges in case the deposition and room reservation had to be canceled. Depositions can fall through unexpectedly at the last minute because of witness or attorney conflicts, which we can’t control. She asked why we’d need to cancel, then said she wouldn’t send anything until we had confirmation. We can’t book without our client’s approval. The whole experience was just disgusting.

We stayed for a week with our child, and the location was great. The rooms were spacious, the price was great, and we loved the extra room and the wonderful breakfast. Service from room service and the front desk was pleasant, and there was a lifeguard at the pool on weekends. Only one elevator was working, but it handled things efficiently.
