Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

The room we ended up staying in had roaches, no chair, and a bed that rolled away from the wall because the headboard wasn't attached to the frame. Some lamps had no bulbs, the curtains didn't cover the windows, and the bare floors were sticky. It was a very run-down hotel. The first room they tried to put us in hadn't been cleaned. There was feces on the sheets, water on the floor from the AC, and black mold in the unit. The lady at the front desk was nice, although English was definitely her second or maybe third language.

They've put a lot of effort into improving the property, and it's starting to show. Our rooms were clean, and the pool was sparkling. On a hot day, it was amazing. The location is above average, close to a ton of sights, and Choice Plus always has a promo, which I like. Hot Springs is wonderful, and saving money here left us more to spend seeing the Spa City. I didn't try the restaurant, but hear it's excellent. They went out of their way to make our family stay memorable. It's a solid bargain for family fun. Thanks a million, we'll be back!

Not going back. The room wasn't filthy, but it wasn't really clean either, more like spot cleaning. The advertised two queen beds were actually full size, so I had to sleep in a chair. The pool area was dirty and breakfast was nothing special, though edible. The pillows were great, at least.

The room was filthy, with green oily stains on the sheets, torn carpet, and dirt, debris, and stains across the floor. It looked like nobody had vacuumed in weeks. Even though I booked a non-smoking room, it reeked of stale smoke like a bar bathroom. The front desk people seemed shocked when I told them how gross it was. Other guests also refused to stay because their rooms were like mine. For that cheap price I expected an old place, but at least somewhat clean. I refused to stay in a filthy room that smelled like a smoking room, and now the hotel is charging me a cancellation fee. They call themselves “pet friendly,” but there's not a patch of grass for pets to walk on. I should've taken pictures, but I wasn't in the room long enough to think of it.
