Embassy Suites by Hilton Hot Springs Hotel & Spa

We were so happy with the bedding and mattress that we checked the brand to see if we could get the same one for home. Our corner room had lovely views, and we were upgraded after mentioning at check-in that it was our anniversary. There were complimentary drinks and snacks in the early evening, bottled water, and excellent service throughout. Breakfast had made-to-order omelets and a good range of food, including bread, muffins, fruit, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and drinks. No complaints there. The hotel is well placed for walking to central Hot Springs, though we parked at the visitors center to walk up and down Main Street. We’d happily stay again.

The pet relief area was a large grassy, unfenced lot by the parking area, which we appreciated, and our dog liked having the space. Downtown Hot Springs is about a 15 minute walk away. Self-parking at the hotel costs $10 a day. Rooms were clean and comfortable with modern decor. Breakfast was typical for a chain, but everything was available and the hot food was actually hot. Some customer service encounters were frustrating. Different staff members acted annoyed when we asked about our reservation or needed to pay for a simple purchase. We’ve both worked in service and know it can be a grind, especially with lots of people getting lit up at the bar. The staff who cleaned and restocked were all kind and friendly.

The beds were super comfortable, and the faucet and shower water got nice and hot. Rooms have been redone and look good, though my bathroom should have been sanded and re-spackled before painting because the finish looked sloppy. Breakfast is included and better than the usual free spread. A nice woman will cook eggs to order. Billy at the desk is welcoming and funny. The managers’ happy hour was okay, with one drink and snacks, but it ends at 6:30 pm. Parking is limited, and you have to pay for a spot that isn’t secured.

The free two drinks and snacks each night were a lovely surprise, and Patrick made a really tasty LIT. Breakfast was good, and the hardworking housekeeping staff kept the rooms and elevators clean. We stayed during the ice storm, when the place seemed busy and short-staffed. Even so, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. We saw the same 4-5 people throughout our weekend. We’d definitely return, hopefully with better weather!
