Rodeway Inn

The room was clean, and the owner at the front desk was very nice to us. I didn’t like having to take the long way to my vehicle on the last day because the stairs had been painted, and there isn’t much parking at the back. Still, I’d stay again and recommend it. Shops and restaurants are close enough to walk to, and having the police station next door made it feel safe.

For a cheap one-night stay, it was entirely adequate. The room was very clean, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower worked well. A couple of restaurants are within walking distance. I wasn’t expecting much at this price. The replacement furniture was clearly used and didn’t really suit the room, though it was probably better quality than the worn-out original. The TV, microwave, and refrigerator were all on one power strip, which started making a high-pitched hum, so I switched it off. I wasn’t planning to use them for just one night anyway.

Right in the heart of downtown, the location is superb, and the price is excellent value. The room was clean, the neighbors were quiet, and it cost about half as much as nearby hotels. I still earned Choice points, too. The door handle was a bit wonky, though. There was a note taped above it explaining how to work it instead of having it fixed or replaced, which is why I gave four stars.

We were just passing through and needed somewhere to stay quickly. The room was clean, quiet, and comfy, and the owner was so nice. His BBQ recommendation was spot on. The little town is quaint and cute, with activities within walking distance. We didn’t expect to find a quick breakfast in the lobby, so that was a nice surprise. Thanks for a great experience!
