Bernadine's Stillman Inn

The walk to downtown is easy going downhill, though the uphill trip back can feel like a workout after a full day of shopping. The location is great, and the honeymoon suite is a lovely choice for an anniversary or weekend away. My husband David and I have stayed at Stillman Inn at least three or four times during our frequent visits to Galena, and it has never let us down. Dave is kind and helpful, and breakfast is hearty and tasty. I absolutely recommend it. See you again soon, Dave.

I usually sleep poorly away from home, but I felt so at ease here that I slept like a baby. Bernadine also makes a delicious breakfast each morning. For our fourth anniversary, my husband and I stayed in this beautiful house, where you can see how much care went into the rooms. Dave greeted us, showed us around our room, and shared a map of nearby attractions and restaurants. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The location worked well for us, with the Grant house a couple of minutes away on foot and Main Street Galena a short drive away. We were very happy with our stay and hope to return.

The price was great, and we had a lovely time chatting with Dave and the couple who shared breakfast with us. Dave and Bernadine welcomed us into their beautiful historic home and were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We spent one night there for our mini-moon after the wedding, and Dave helped make our time in Galena special. We're looking forward to going back for our first anniversary. Dave drew us a hand-made map of things to see and do around Galena, which we really appreciated. The innkeepers were the most personable we've come across in more than 40 B&B stays. Breakfast was made to order, a first in our 20 years of staying at B&Bs around the country, and both the food and Dave's service were terrific. We had a delightful two-day visit at the gorgeous Bernadine's Stillman Inn. Dave and Bernadine were wonderful hosts.
