Atrium Inn

Our suite was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette, empty fridge, coffee maker, cups, and microwave. But the walls were thin enough that we heard alarms, doors, and hallway noise early in the morning. There's also a pool, gym, and restaurant, though breakfast isn't included. We stayed one night, and I wouldn't come back because of the service and shuttle experience. The hotel is only ten minutes away, but the transfer was over an hour late despite our repeated calls. They kept saying it had arrived or would be there in 20 minutes, but it never showed up. At the hotel, one staff member didn't greet us or even look at us. Another was pleasant at first and offered one room instead of two, saying it had two king beds. It actually had two full beds, so we had to go back to the desk, where she gave us a suite. One star for the customer service and shuttle.

We were in town for a cheerleading competition and left really pleased with our stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and open to requests, and the facilities, room, and bathroom were immaculate and well cared for. It felt clean, safe, and like a clear win for a budget hotel. I especially appreciated finding fresh sheets and blankets on the bed. I hate it when a comforter seems not to have been washed between guests, and here it was folded neatly on a shelf under the TV. I checked closely, and everything looked and smelled clean.

The gentleman checking us in was kind and even let us choose our room. The location worked perfectly for our plans, and we'd book again if we needed to. My husband and I usually choose Airbnb, but we were in town for a wedding over Memorial Day weekend in South Jersey, and this was the most cost-effective option. We were both pleasantly surprised by how good the stay was.

It's a quiet, safe spot, and the room was spotless and comfortable. For the price, especially being so close to Atlantic City, it's hard to beat. The owners of this small local business are genuinely nice and accommodating. You get most of what a larger hotel offers; if you don't need a spa or room service, give this place a try instead of Marriott or Hilton. This will be my spot next time I'm in the area.
