Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter

The kids would've stayed in the pool all day instead of going back to the park. Movies and s'mores at night were nice, though they do charge for the s'mores. Getting around was easy: the boat to the springs was great, and the buses worked well even during one of the busiest weeks of the year. We could walk everywhere from our Preferred room. I wish there were more small lifejackets for little kids. I could always find one eventually, even on a busy week, but it was stressful when I couldn't find one right away. The garbage and recycling cans are tiny and filled too fast with all the snacks and meals we made in the room. Since room service only came every other day, we took our trash out ourselves a lot. It's a great little resort, and I'll stay again. You should consider it too, and put the $500+ per night you save compared with the grand Floridian toward extending your trip.

The resort felt personal and not overwhelming, even though the site isn't very large. The food was great, and the room was comfortable with good cleaning service. Every employee was A+: super friendly, patient, and understanding. I loved the place and will definitely go back!

The beignets were the food highlight, though everything we tried was good. We arrived hours before check-in and our room was already ready, thanks to staff who were helpful every step of the way. It’s a welcome break from the parks, with lovely theming and buses and other things close enough to walk to. I’d stay here again next time I visit a Disney resort.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The place is beautiful, the pool area is fun, and there’s good food available. Our room was quiet with plenty of storage, and the bathroom had two sinks plus a stool so the little ones could reach.
