Homewood Suites Hilton Orlando Universal Studios

The room was the highlight of my one-night stay. It was a third-floor room with a king bed, and it had what we needed for a short family visit. We brought our own food. The hotel is close to the parks and other things, though the outside didn't make much of an impression. Everything was clean, and I especially liked the herbal-smelling toiletries, particularly the lotion. The showerhead comes off easily because it's magnetic, so take care when adjusting it. The hot water, though, was immediate. The sofa also folds out into a bed, and breakfast is included. I thought the chicken was delicious. I didn't get to look around much, but the pool and gym both looked nice. A comfortable option for a quick trip to the parks.

The staff were welcoming and very helpful, and having coffee available around the clock was a nice extra. Homewood Suites is well kept and in a good spot. The shuttle to Universal was reliable and convenient, and breakfast was good too. It's been a very good stay so far.

The breakfast buffet was a real highlight, though I wish they'd offered more fruit. I was craving melon and berries by the end. The cleaning staff did a great job, and we stayed on the fifth floor in a room with a queen bed, two TVs, kitchenette, bathtub, and a large sink. You can sign in to Netflix, Disney Plus, and Apple TV. A few things made the stay harder. There was only one working elevator, it sounded rickety, and the limit was five people at a time. The water pressure was extremely weak, which made getting clean difficult. Our bathroom door stuck badly, and I worried more than once that I'd be trapped. Near the end of our stay, I spotted three or four small ants in the bathroom on several days. It wasn't alarming, but other reviews mention it too, so it may need attention. The free shuttle is handy, but sign up the day before because seats can fill. If you stay at the parks until closing, you may need an Uber back. If so, schedule it for when you're leaving, since getting one otherwise is really difficult. For anyone wondering what to bring: razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste, floss, deodorant, feminine products, and combs aren't provided. They do supply hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, a dishwasher pod, sink sponge, dish soap, dust cloths, an iron and board, a safe, and hangers.

I spent four days and three nights here with my kids, and we had a great time. Jocelyn was lovely and explained the charges thoroughly. The park shuttles are complimentary, but get out early because they leave on time. Breakfast was included and had lots of choices, with something different each morning. The rooms were clean and felt luxurious. We went in January, when it was very cold, and the heated pool and jacuzzi were both clean. The view was beautiful, too. The drink tap service was convenient and complimentary. I'd love to book this same place again in summer.
