Inn At Atlantic City Hotel & Banquet

My son has an appointment at an autism specialty practice, and we'd waited months for it. I booked this room through PRICELINE because it was nearby and we only needed to stay the one night. I was there with my three kids at 10 p.m., and the place looked like a jail, nothing like the pictures on PRICELINE's site. I returned the key and told the man at reception the room was unacceptable and that they should show accurate photos. I asked for a refund; he told me to call Priceline and said he'd “work something out.” That night we booked the Marriot Fairway while sitting in our car. It cost more, but it was amazing. We were only there for a couple of hours, and I hope we can go back and enjoy it properly. I contacted PRICELINE three times about a refund. They tried calling the Inn at AC, but no one answered, and Priceline offered only 15% off a future booking. The night was a nightmare, and dealing with the aftermath was worse. I feel they have a responsibility to show customers accurate information. A Priceline supervisor told me they “cannot go out & take pictures of every hotel to post.” I wasn't asking them to do that. I told him a big company providing a service should want to fix things when its customers, and its own reputation, are being taken advantage of, unless they're scamming their customers too. I'm just a mom trying to get my son to an appointment, and now I'm out more money than I planned. Dissatisfied, disappointed, and disgusted are my words for this hotel and Priceline.

The staff were friendly, and there are lots of cameras on site. We stayed in a smoking room, but it smelled so nice and was clean enough that you couldn't even tell it was a smoking room, unlike a lot of other hotels. Just a heads-up, there's no elevator and parking by our room was limited.

I booked in April 2025, when the property was under the Wyndham umbrella as Howard Johnson. When I arrived on July 31, 2025, they said they couldn't accommodate me because no ADA rooms were available and that I should blame Wyndham. I'd made my needs clear when I reserved. There was no walk-in shower or even a shower chair. Had they thrown the shower chairs out when they changed the name? I showed the clerk the ADA information on the website. He then said they'd had one room, but someone was in it and he couldn't put them out. My family was left scrambling to call around for ADA accommodations. That was the worst customer service I've ever seen. I would never recommend this place.

The room was clean and nice, and it was quiet apart from the people next door. We could hear everything they were doing, and I'm sure they heard our private time too. We did get to have our time alone, though.
