We had plenty of room, and the staff were so kind and helpful. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was better than at 99% of the hotels I've stayed in. Having a mini fridge and microwave was handy for drinks, sandwich supplies, and leftovers. With a bar and restaurant attached, it was easy to unwind by the pool in the evening. The beach was right across the street, so we didn't have to drive; we'd run over in the mornings and evenings, then use the pool at night. See you next time! These are pics from the cloudy, lightly rainy morning we checked out. ♥️

That overlook balcony is a lovely place to sit and watch the Gulf, and the spacious pool area has plenty of room to relax after a long drive. Gaido's Seaside Inn has a quaint, classic coastal feel that brought back memories of family vacations from years ago. It dates to the 1960s, but the rooms still feel almost elegant, with a comfortable beach-day style. Terra and Melissa at the front desk were pleasant and genuinely helpful from the moment I arrived. After my long drive, their suggestion to have supper at the attached Nick's Kitchen & Beach Bar was much appreciated. The stay was so good it made my top ten, and I extended it so I wouldn't have to leave.

The location is wonderful, with the pool, ocean, and a restaurant right there. I keep coming back because Ashley has helped me for years, whether I'm visiting with friends or family or coming at the last minute on my own from Houston. She makes me feel like a VIP. A few weeks ago, Lauren, who is new, was helpful too. The kitchen ladies are lovely and remember me, even asking where I've been if they haven't seen me. They know how much I love the pancake machine, too. Can't wait to return and see those smiling faces. Keep it up, Lauren and Ashley! Marci W

Erin at the front desk made my weekend at Gaido’s Seaside Inn feel easy and relaxing. She helped from the start, answering my first call about prices with kindness and plenty of detail, and was just as wonderful in person. She even got me a beautiful patio room facing right out toward the ocean. It feels like my own private villa, and check-in was quick and smooth, with real warmth and professionalism. It's rare to feel so welcomed, valued, and cared for. Erin clearly cares about guests. Five stars doesn't feel like enough!

The pool was the reason we booked, going by the photos, but it was crowded and surrounded by beer cans and half-full liquor drinks. Kids were in the pool alone while their parents drank closer to the bar, and we felt grossed out and left. The whole place felt trashy. We wanted so badly to enjoy it, but it should be torn down and rebuilt. Customer service wasn't good either, despite what the reviews said. And don't pay extra for a “view”; there isn't one. The room was just as disappointing. It smelled strongly of old bleach water, the bathroom looked nothing like the pictures and was gross, and its vent sounded like it might catch fire. The carpet felt damp, and the worn bed had a hole-like dip that left our backs hurting. Outside, the parking lot was full, so we waited for a car to leave, then stepped onto trash, including a McDonald’s bag and cans. The walkway to the office reeked of weed. The pool had no seating, and the lobby had a vacant room with wet concrete floors that seemed easy to slip on. We arrived ten minutes before check-in and found a line out the door with one person at the counter. It took almost an hour to get checked in. The photos are old and misleading.
