Econo Lodge Garden City - Savannah

The linens and towels were super clean, and the hotel was generally quiet. The coffee and muffins were good too. The shower could’ve used more cleaning to get some mildew residue out of the grout. My husband booked a one-bed queen-size room online and paid for it, but when we arrived they said it wasn’t available and put us in a room with two double beds. I wasn’t happy, and I’d read they do this a lot. That feels like false advertising. It wasn’t bad for a night or two, but I guess it depends which room you get.

We come here for my husband’s work travel, and honestly I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. The location is great, close to everything, and the rooms are big and spacious. Every room has a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator. The staff are very friendly, and whenever there’s been a problem, they’ve dealt with it quickly.

The staff have been kind, friendly, and attentive, and the rooms are very clean. I’ve stayed in other hotels with roaches and bugs, but haven’t seen a single one in my room here. The Wi-Fi was out for my first two nights, but the maintenance guy fixed it right away. No big deal, and I’m impressed.

I’ve stayed at the midtown Savannah location, and this hotel is far better. The rooms look recently updated, and they’re clean and spacious. Everyone on staff has been a pleasure to deal with. Breakfast is small but nice, and it’s included. With the highway nearby, it’s only 8-10 minutes to almost anywhere in Savannah. I’ll be staying here a lot more. Thanks!
