Maggie and her team made my first trip to New York unforgettable. I felt like family the whole time, not like a guest, and it was like being in a real Hallmark movie. Ms. Maggie was warm, welcoming, accommodating, and just superb at hospitality. The breakfast attendant was organized and seemed to have what people needed before anyone asked. Breakfast itself was phenomenal, served on real china, and the areas were always clean. The views are spectacular, with a mountain right outside the back door, and if you’re lucky, you might spot a deer.

We spent a cozy winter stay at Minnewaska Lodge and loved it. The setting is tucked into the woods, with incredible cliff views, yet it’s still easy to get to New Paltz and other attractions. We enjoyed the trails behind the hotel, reading and knitting by the fireplace, and the plentiful breakfast. The place was gorgeous and clean, and all the employees were pleasant and helpful. We’ll be back.

We came for one night after getting engaged, and the staff was attentive and quick to respond. They were really helpful in marking the special occasion. Our king room with a deck and a view of the cliffs felt cozy and comfortable, and we were very happy with our stay.

Maggie makes you feel like long-lost family, and dogs are welcome too. Minnewaska Lodge has a fireplace in the common area that adds to its charm, and it’s close to both hiking and restaurants. A relaxing home away from home.

The lodge feels peaceful and secluded, even though New Paltz is close if you need to pop into town. My room was immaculate, the surroundings were beautiful, and breakfast was lovely. I got a warm welcome at the front desk and found the staff and amenities great. Looking forward to coming back.
