Baymont by Wyndham Savannah I-95

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, though the shower gave us trouble. Its head was so dirty that barely any water came through, so we had to clean it ourselves. The water temperature kept shifting from cool to warmer and back, and never got hot. Breakfast was a poor selection for us: pancakes, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, and yogurt, but no eggs, which I like in the morning. We ate elsewhere. Some people may be fine with those options, and a lot of this comes down to personal preference.

The room felt unlivable, and after I raised the problems and asked for a partial refund, I was basically told tough luck. I’m done worrying about the refund, but I’m going to contact Wyndham about the health risk of mold in the rooms. There was mold on the walls and on the pictures, and goo covered the walls too. A thick, wet red substance was on the nightstand. We had no hot water the entire stay. Breakfast amounted to machine coffee, stale cereal, and three lonely Danimals yogurt packs in the fridge. Every time we got back to the hotel, we had to go to the desk because our keys had been disabled. Housekeeping also started banging on doors at 9am, even though checkout was at 11am.

I had a very pleasant stay in an accessible room at the Baymont by Wyndham in Savannah. There was plenty of space for my wheelchair in the bathroom, the room was clean, and the AC worked well.

The hotel is in a great spot just off I-95. The third-floor hallway was very warm, though I’m not sure if their air conditioning problems were temporary. The room’s central air didn’t work, and even with the window unit set all the way down to 60, the room only cooled with that running.
