The room itself was nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and air conditioning and heat that both worked well. Breakfast was limited but enough to get the day started. Parking is a bit tight, so a late arrival might mean leaving the car closer to one of the nearby hotels, though it isn’t far. What let the stay down was the empty pool. The weather was nice, and other hotels had their pools open. I’d booked because of the room and pool, packed my bathing suit, and was nearly in tears when I saw there was no water. Since the pool is listed as an amenity, it felt like I’d paid for something I couldn’t use. The price wasn’t bad, I guess, and I hope they fix whatever’s wrong, but I’m not sure I’ll return. There was hard water buildup all over the shower head, knob, and spout. The tap water smelled very sulfurous, like farts, so don’t drink it. 😭

We couldn’t even see ourselves in the bathroom mirror, the toilet was dirty, and there were pubic hairs in the tub. Our room was filthy. When I went to the desk, they apologized and promised an immediate refund, but it never came. I disputed the credit card charge and they denied the dispute. Very classy.

We needed somewhere to sleep on a last-minute road trip and didn’t know about the $100 deposit when we booked. I’d expect that at a Marriott, but not here. More importantly, we didn’t sleep at all. There was mold on the bed, sheets, lamp, and in the bathroom. We also found bed bugs, so we slept in the car. Run!

Over Labor Day weekend I was given a room with an extra door beside the bathroom. It had a lock but no doorknob, and I heard random noises from it. I was curious about opening it, but didn’t. An Indian family staying next to me had access to that room, and I’d get woken up. It wasn’t the best experience.
