We were especially glad we spent the evening at The Independent, where the food, service, and desserts were some of the best we’ve had. Afterward, Frankie at Elisa’s made us feel welcome over drinks, and we returned later for a light dinner. We’d just had two lovely nights at The George Hotel and were heading back to Beaufort. Abhi greeted us when we arrived and was a real professional, clearly great at his job. Thanks to everyone who made the stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We’re looking forward to coming back.

Sean was personable and had good suggestions when we ate at The Independent, the restaurant at the George. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The hotel itself was lovely and very clean, with easy parking on Front Street and great staff. My husband and I stayed in January and had a great time. Definitely keep this hotel in mind.

Tyler deserves a shout-out. I called the lobby very early asking for a shower cap, and he brought three right to my door. The George made my work trip feel more like a vacation, with cozy bedding and pillows and robes for after a shower. I stayed several nights. It’s a unique southern gem, close to the Harborwalk, local shops, and excellent restaurants within an easy walk. I’d highly recommend checking out The George in history rich Georgetown!

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was beautiful. We also had an amazing dinner at The Independent, the hotel’s onsite restaurant. Gorgeous place in historic Georgetown, with terrific service. I’d definitely stay here again.

We always choose The George when we get away from Charleston to visit Georgetown and the surrounding area. It’s tastefully decorated, and the staff are always supreme. On this trip, the restaurant lived up to the hotel’s elegance and service. Zeke, our server at the Independent, was phenomenal. We’ll be back to The George.
