Fairfield Inn & Suites Germantown Gaithersburg

My son arrived for a holiday booking, got a key from the receptionist, and found luggage already spread around the room when he went in. Someone could have been in real danger in that situation. It was a serious security failure, and people may understandably feel threatened if a stranger seems to be entering their room, especially when guns are around. How could the front office be so careless? Please handle this better next time.

The people working there were friendly, the room was clean, and breakfast was okay, but I need a quiet night’s sleep and didn’t get one. One side of the hotel faces a restaurant that turns into what’s really a nightclub. The pulsing, unbelievably loud music carried on until 1 a.m. I couldn’t block it out even with my head under a pillow. You’ve got about a 50-50 chance of landing on that very noisy side. Easily the worst Marriott Hotel I’ve stayed at.

24SEPT.2025 The room had plenty of space, with a nice sitting area, flat-screen tv, and another tv in the bedroom. There’s a mini fridge and microwave too. Even though it’s right off I-270, the stay was quiet. The bathroom was roomy, and the room smelled good. The elevators and hallways were clean, as was the well-kept foyer. Our first visit was a great one. Fairfield by MI&S sits near the Germantown/Gaithersburg border, with lots of restaurants nearby, plus a TopGolf golfing range and movie theater. The check-in representative was naturally cheerful and welcoming.

Vending machines are in the lobby, and the prices weren’t posted. At checkout, I found two medium bottles of Gatorade had cost $10. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast bar was good for what it was. I stayed one night.
