Giddings Executive Inn

My room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, the linens didn't look clean, and there were so many bugs that I packed up and found somewhere else to stay when I came back after sunset. The linens may well have been clean, but they didn't look that way. I noticed the smell and linens when I first checked in; it was only later that I saw all the bugs. This place has gone downhill, so don't base your decision on older reviews or past stays.

The weekly price worked well for our work crew, and there was fast food nearby. We had comfortable beds, and it wasn't too busy during our stay. Luckily there were no crack heads cruising the hotel driveways. The staff accommodated us, and the friendly, positive owners were helpful and assisted with safety concerns. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

We spent five days here while traveling and had a clean room. Housekeeping came daily to replace towels and sheets if needed. Showers were nice and hot, and cable had plenty of channels. The location felt safe, and the owner was friendly and handled any concerns quickly.

The motel was very quiet and the room was very clean. The front desk was helpful and nice. The bed was firmer than we like, but we still slept okay. The tub was peeling, with some white material delaminating. It was fine to shower in, but I wouldn't want to sit in it or wash a child in it.
