SpringHill Suites Vero Beach

Our wedding plans were badly disrupted by the hotel changing our booking. We had arranged a wedding block months ahead, and I checked in Friday for the two nights we’d reserved. On my wedding morning, I got a message saying checkout was at noon. My wife’s things were still in the room while she was already at the venue getting ready, so I left my bachelor party early to find out what was going on. Staff first said they were full and couldn’t help. After I explained that the wedding was only hours away, I heard them say on the phone they were overbooked by six rooms, and they eventually made arrangements for me. They also changed several guests’ bookings and forced family members out of the block. Nobody apologized or acknowledged the changes, and we were treated as if we’d never had those rooms, with an attitude that made it seem like our fault. I’ve been a Marriott member for years, and this was the worst treatment I’ve had. I would never recommend this hotel.

Heather and Stephen made breakfast such a lovely experience. My family and I return several times each year, and every visit we’re treated like royalty. They keep going above and beyond for us and everyone else in the dining room. The hotel is lucky to have two such wonderful employees, and I hope they know how much they’re appreciated.

Whenever I’m in Vero Beach, the location is a real plus. The rooms were clean, and the service team was very friendly. I’m definitely planning to come back.

Having this happen on my wedding day was unbelievable, and it was the worst experience I’ve had with a Marriott. I’ve been a member for a while. We had booked two nights, Friday through Sunday, as part of a wedding block, but that day I received an email saying we had to check out. My fiancé rushed over and had to beg to get our room back. They said the hotel had no rooms left and was overbooked by six. My two cousins were made to leave and find another hotel on the day of the wedding, even though they’d also booked two nights. Beth at the front desk was rude and not helpful at all. She shouldn’t be working in customer service.
