The Maritime Inn

I really liked the comfort of the room and the view from room #9, and the location is great for downtown Gig Harbor. The fireplace didn't work, though, which made it hard to have a cozy night's sleep. I let the front desk know, but they couldn't help because it was the weekend. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 stars. Check-in went okay, aside from the gift certificate issue: I was asked to present it when I arrived, but nobody had told me to bring it when I made the reservation.

It's a lovely quick getaway that feels far from the noise and pace of the city, and I make the trip a few times each year. The rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, and the fireplace makes things cozy. Staff are always kind and pleasant, and ready to make guests feel welcome. I enjoy the glass of wine at check-in, the breakfast selection has something for any appetite, and there's on-site parking. The location is convenient too.

We stayed for two nights in late February in The Sentinel, the room we'd booked, and it matched what was shown online. It was immaculate, with comfortable beds, and the main building was quiet in the evenings. The staff welcomed us, and the complimentary wine on arrival was a nice touch. Breakfast had a great continental selection. Parking was good, and the location let us walk almost everywhere. We'd definitely come back.

The harbor views are beautiful, and there's a coffee shop right across the drive. The Inn is in the middle of the tourist area, and the rooms are lovely. They responded quickly when anything was needed. Breakfast was a good continental spread with a few protein choices. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.
