We’ve brought the kids here for two summers in a row, and everyone enjoyed it. There’s plenty of space in the big house, and the kitchen has loads of equipment if you’d rather cook. We’ve also eaten out just down the street and used the charcoal grills in the driveway. For getting outdoors, you can take the kayaks or hike to nearby waterfalls. Copper Falls State park is a short drive away, and Bayfield, the Apostle Islands, and the North Shore of Lake Superior work well for a day trip. After being out, it’s nice to return to the comforts of home. We left feeling relaxed and highly recommend it.

Most places were closed during our fall visit because of COVID, but we still had a lovely time. The views from many of the windows are beautiful, and the upstairs gas fireplace kept us warm while we read on the comfy couch. We went to the Porcupine Mtns one day and Bayfield the next. I’m sure there’s plenty to do in any season. Recommended.

A great escape, with a lovely view of The Gile Flowage and access to snowmobile and ATV trails. The place has what you need for a good stay, including a full kitchen for making meals, though there are also plenty of good places to eat out. The hosts were great, and it’s a good value.
