Rodeway Inn Mount Laurel Hwy 73

The non-smoking room stank so badly. When I asked to switch, I was told I could leave. The hotel was empty, yet apparently there wasn't a nicer room anywhere in the whole place. There was blood on the tub. I paid $125 for two nights. The photos looked clean and Agoda reviews rated it 7.2. What a joke.

This hotel is dirty, old, and worn out. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're okay with rats visiting at night. The front desk knows about the problem and will even offer a free used mouse trap if you don't like mice. There are plenty of other hotels in the area, so stay away.

The desk staff were very helpful and answered all my questions kindly. When we couldn't figure out the shower faucet, one of them came along to show us how it worked. They also had a washer and dryer. Once I got to the room, it was good and clean, and the AC was ready to use. Getting to the room upstairs took me a while to figure out, though. The areas around the rooms were dirty and smelled. It's a large building, so perhaps keeping every part managed is difficult.

The room I was moved to had no door lock. A couple of hours later, a random woman walked in. That was the last straw. I felt unsafe the entire stay, checked out early, and went to another hotel. I will never stay here again and wouldn't recommend it, especially to a woman traveling alone. At check-in I was put in a two-bed room, and both beds had dirty sheets. One had a completely black, dirty pillow. I complained, and housekeeping came in, took the stuff off the bed, then walked out as if nothing had happened. I asked for clean sheets, and they moved me to a one-bed room instead. The AC in that room fell apart completely. Then two random men banged on my door around 1 a.m., and another did the same a couple of hours later. I told the front desk, and the man changed my room again. My safety was at risk the whole time.
