Update, 2/27/2026: My wife spoke with the manager today, and he kindly reversed the charge. I appreciate that he was willing to do so. We really did enjoy our stay and it was a nice experience until the $75 charge. I had decided never to return, but knowing they listen to legitimate complaints, I'd give the place another try. During our stay last weekend, we were charged a $75 incidentals fee. When I checked my credit card statement, I found it hadn't been deducted. I called to ask why we'd been charged, and learned they claimed I'd smoked and left ashes in the sink. I haven't used tobacco in nearly 20 years; my wife doesn't smoke, and neither do our daughters, ages 14, 12, and 10. They said they had “photo evidence.” I'm very upset by the accusation. Some employees seem dishonest and are trying to impose bogus fees. We didn't damage or steal anything. Other guests should know they could end up with an extra $75 smoking charge whether they smoke or not. The irony is that the hotel entrance smelled strongly of marijuana, apparently from people smoking in cars in the parking lot. If anyone in Wyndham management reads this, I'd like to discuss these underhanded practices at the Mount Laurel, NJ location. Budget an extra $75, it seems they need more money. If you value integrity, don't stay here.

The staff were friendly, the facilities clean, and the location great. We stayed in the Holiday Suite for family travel over the holidays, and it was perfect. The suite's warm, soft cookies were a treat, and there was milk in the fridge for Santa. The tree was just the right size, simply and beautifully decorated. They also provided a crib for my infant, and the whole experience was great. It's pet friendly, but thankfully didn't smell like dogs, which I'd worried about.

The disturbances were nearly constant, with police at the hotel almost every other day for serious incidents, including reports of people with firearms. I couldn't sleep while working six days a week and getting up at 4:30 every morning. At the start of my eight-month work contract, I left a positive review far too early. The longer I stayed, the worse it became. When I complained about room service staff, they seemed to retaliate by slamming doors and cabinets and making as much noise as possible. Complaining only made it worse. I reported this to Daniel, the assistant manager, and Adam, the GM, but they tried to reassure me that the “CONTRACTED” room service staff wouldn't do that. My Great Dane caught intestinal parasites from what I believe was their contaminated yard. I emailed them multiple times and still have the emails and their excuses. Treating my dog twice cost $1,000.00, and nothing was done. The hotel is attached to a mini amusement park with the same owner. In my experience, most hospitality staff, contracted or not, speak no English. I think ICE should visit next. The front desk staff couldn't care less. Wyndham should know about this, and the negative reviews are deserved. It seems most positive reviews come from the people causing the disturbances and police calls.

The staff were courteous, and the furnishings comfortable and pleasant. This remains a good option for the price, though the new hotel is already showing wear. On my second stay in three weeks, I was there for two days and found a couple of problems in my assigned room: the door was hard to open and close, its hardware was loose and coming apart, the couch was stained, and I could hear people moving around upstairs all night. My first stay had been excellent.

I've stayed here twice and think it's a great hotel. The rooms are large, with a full kitchenette and a big fridge/freezer. Breakfast is good, typical hotel food. More towel hooks in the bathroom would help. One elevator wasn't working right during our stay, but there are two, so it was manageable. The biggest issue was a large family reunion in the lobby. The many kids were running around and screaming, and staff didn't ask them to quiet down or move somewhere away from the desk and entrance. They kept circling us and my dog was freaking out. It felt overwhelming. I think the hotel needs more rules for the lobby. There's a fun zone next door, and I wouldn't expect kids to be screaming like that right in the lobby.
