Regency Inn & Suites

I was in town for a funeral and stayed in room 105. I have video of aggressive roaches all over the walls and furniture. The room was filthy, and the furniture looked soiled, like it had been outside. When I complained, the manager said, “This is not the Hampton or Hilton,” and moved us to room 111. The furniture there was soiled too, and the phone didn’t work. Nasty place, not worth even one star.

The location was great, but the place was dirty and raggedy. I asked for a downstairs room because of an injury and was told none were available. About 45 minutes later, I complained about the filthy towels and was told there was no room service. On my way downstairs, I saw another customer at the window being given a downstairs room. Never again!

Restaurants are all around and the location is great. The hotel looked nice and had been recently updated, but the service was poor. One bed in my room had clearly been slept in and not changed, so I had just one clean bed. There was no toilet paper, and the hotel had no amenities at all. Still, it was a good stay.

The toilet tank was black inside, there was no toilet seat back, and I had to ask for a plunger because the toilet was clogged and unusable. This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had, and I’d give it minus 20 stars if I could. My best friend’s husband has one leg and uses a walker. They saw that at check-in and put him upstairs. He accepted it, even though he was uncomfortable, until he slipped and nearly fell down the stairs. We then asked for a downstairs room. They offered no apology or compensation. We also asked for more toilet paper and a couple of extra towels, and were refused both. The staff member asked why I needed toilet paper since I should have enough, and said we shouldn’t have used both towels already. I didn’t know there was a limit on when we could get more. The first room had no phone, and the phone in the second room didn’t work. They left him upstairs without a working phone, so when we went to the store, he wouldn’t have been able to call 911 if something happened. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
