Downtown Glen Arbor is just a three-minute walk away, and my room had plenty of space, a nice feel, and a hot shower. Everything I needed was there. Jim and Laura, the owners and managers, were really cool and a pleasure to meet. Rocksand from housekeeping was lovely and kept checking whether I needed anything. Thanks for a great stay. I’ll be back!

We had no problems during our stay and would definitely come back. The room was clean after the recent remodel, with DirectTV, fairly new-feeling carpet, a coffee pot, small fridge, and microwave. The bathroom in our room still felt a bit dated, with a step-in tub and a low toilet that made me think of grade school, lol. That could be tricky for older guests. The outside is lovely and fits Glen Arbor, a quaint town in a beautiful setting.

Room 103 was spotless, with lovely bed quilts and sheets. It had a microwave, coffee machine, and fridge, and the bathroom was immaculate with a really good shower. There was a slight smell in the room, but a cheap little Glade candle cleared it up. Check-in and check-out were easy, though the text check-in could be a problem if you have a non-US phone or roaming plan. I didn’t get the message in time with my UK phone and bad roaming deal. Anderson’s Market nearby kindly called for us, and we picked up a great supper there. We also loved The Cherry Public House, where the staff were super nice, and the Liberty cherry bubbles (crèmant) was delicious. What a find for a brilliant stop on M-22.

We’ve been here in both summer and winter, and each season felt like a different experience. The location is spectacular, the staff are nice, and they’re always responsive. The ice machine was out in winter, but otherwise everything was as expected. We’ll definitely come back.

You can walk to the town of Glen Arbor in about a block, with its nice restaurants and shops, and Lake Michigan Beach is roughly three blocks away. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and the rooms are clean, with big beds and a large dresser. They’re more compact than rooms at many urban chain hotels. Booking is easy and the policies are clear. My one criticism is that smoking seems to be allowed on the property. It’s small, and smoke from people at the outdoor chairs or tables gets into the rooms.
